The ’90s are back, and I am here for it. I won’t try to convince you to over-pluck your eyebrows or wear a fanny pack (though they are really convenient), but I think we can agree that there are a few revived trends that are worth being happy about.
Whether you’re looking for a gift to satisfy your own nostalgia or for young people in your life who are experiencing these phenomena for the very first time, here are my favorite ’90s-inspired gift ideas for this holiday season.

Free People Easy Street Tunic, $121-242
Oversized everything is back — especially big, cozy sweaters. Available in multiple colors, this Free People sweater is a perfect cold-weather accessory to pair with jeans or your favorite pair of leggings.
Levi’s Women’s New Boyfriend Jeans, $38-60
Cool, casual, and the tiniest bit rebellious, ripped jeans are a versatile addition to any wardrobe.

Goodthreads Women’s Brushed Flannel Drop-shoulder Long-sleeved Shirt, $30
Though I could live without the drop in temperatures, when cold weather arrives, I get excited to break out soft, cuddly flannels. Which, by the way, pair well with ripped jeans and combat boots, for a thoroughly ’90s style.
C.C Chunky Cable Knit Beanie, $11
Pop on a neon accessory, like this adorable and electric-bright beanie, for a burst of color to brighten up dreary winter days.
Celestial Silk Scrunchies, $18
Scrunchies are back! A bracelet and a hair tie in one? Yes please! Scrunchies are a great alternative for ponytails because they reduce friction that lead to frizz and hair loss. This accessory is quite possibly the 1990s’ greatest invention. These silk scrunchies come in a three-pack.
Bmobuo Hair Clips, Set of Four, $10
The runner-up in best ’90s hair accessories? Definitely the claw clip, for its ability to make a casual French twist in seconds. These claw clips come in a four-pack of assorted colors to match any outfit.

Madewell Cotton Bandana, $12.50
Bandanas are like the handy multi-tool of accessories. Use them for your hair, as a mask, tied to a purse, and more.
Honeycat Mood Ring, $22
A mood ring, grown up. This minimalist version of the ’90s classic is the perfect combination of sophisticated style and a touch of magic. And who doesn’t love jewelry that changes colors with your moods? It comes in gold, silver, and rose gold options, with a unique gift-ready envelope box.
Kendra Scott Pepper Hoop Earrings, $70
These delicate earrings are an updated spin on a ’90s jewelry standby. Available in gold, rose gold, or silver, these hoops would pair well with any outfit.

Dr. Martens Vegan 1460 Fashion Boot, $100-223
Although combat boots definitely recall the ’90s, they have held a variety of symbolic meanings throughout history, from civil rights to feminism to anti-war sentiment. No matter what personal meaning they may hold for the wearer, these kicks continue to be a classic fashion staple.
